Now that I've caught my breath and stopped shaking long enough to type, I am excited to share that my little dining room re-model has been featured on Design Sponge! I visit this blog daily and love, love, love it. When they said they were accepting "before and after" submissions I thought, why the heck not?! I submitted my dining room photos and they actually thought it was cool enough to put on their big-ole'-design-blog. (insert loud squeal here) Me? Cool? NO WAY!!!! Needless to say, I'm on cloud nine. The excitement is a little lost on my son (he gave me an odd look as I was jumping in place and screaming) and my husband (who is beginning catch a little bit of my excitement after I explained that d*s is kind of a big deal in the design world). Really I think my hubby is worried this might give me another reason to spend more moolah re-doing another room. Take another gander at my baby-changing-station turned dining room on d*s!
Here is where I found everything....
Chevron Rug - West Elm
Mirror & Table - Laurie's Home Furnishings - Tomball, TX
Drapes & Drapery Hardware - Calico Corners
Upholstered Side Chairs - Restoration Hardware
Louis Ghost Chairs - AllModern.com
Light - Overstock.com
SO FUN!! Sarah you have such a good eye! So excited for you!
ReplyDeleteOne more question about the rug -- is it the brown one? It looks like it could be black and white in the picture, but the b/w one on West Elm seems to have a red border, which yours doesn't. The brown definitely looks nice with the other warm colors. Sorry to be so nosy -- just love the look!
ReplyDeleteGreat room! Is that piece of art yours? It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteSarah - Congratulations! Can you please tell me the name of the fabric you used? I am in the market for fabric for my living room. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCaroline - You're not being nosy at all! West Elm offers a few different options of this rug. Mine is the chocolate brown chevron stripe with a light brown/tan border. Thanks for the sweet comment!
ReplyDeleteBri - Yes, the painting is an original piece. If you're in the market for some art, let me know. I'd love to paint something for you!
Jen - I got the drapery fabric at Calico Corners. The "style" name is Kalah and the color is called Spice. I hope this helps!
you are sooooo cool... :)
