Merry Christmas!

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord.
- Luke 2:11
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and that the Lord blesses you immensely in the New Year.

Christmas Cards

Just tracked my package of 2010 Christmas cards. They're in Memphis and scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I always get excited about Christmas cards. I TRY to come up with something a little different each year. And, I was really jazzed about our cards this year because I thought, dang, I really thought outside the ole' box this year. That is until I came across this ridiculously talented family. The dad dabbles in film & photography and the mom is an artist/blogger. Don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate my husband's talents and his chosen profession. He's great at it. But, after I watched this video I'm like, dang, could you take some night classes or something and learn about movie making so we can do this next year!?

I'm slightly less excited about that package arriving tomorrow.

WItchery Kids

In an effort to keep D looking fly I often check out clothing brands from around the world. Yesterday, I discovered Witchery Kids, an Aussie brand. Although I don't love the name, these clothes are seriously cool and have become my new favorite - sorry Crewcuts. After looking at the too-cool-for-school boys stuff I browsed the girls section and found our daughter. No, for real. If we ever have a girl, this is what she will look like. (Dear Lord, please give us a girl. Amen.) She will actually walk out of me looking exactly like this. Classic trench, nautical stripes, studded belt and killer sandals. Her name will be something very euro-cool like...Allegra or Daphne. But, she will have to teach me how to do that effortless looking tie/loop trick with a belt. And, despite her father's best efforts to force her into a convent, she will end up being an artist, designer, model, volleyball player or writer. She will also do all of this while living very close to her father and I. The end.
PS- I know y'all are getting SICK of my dining room but check out Remodelaholic.com today! I'm featured. Thanks Cassity! :)

Climbing

This is what happens when I leave Daddy & D in a room alone for more than 10 minutes. I return and D has all these new tricks. Like, climbing on the coffee table.

ps- he got his 3rd haircut today. we tried out a new place. and apparently they don't speak English because I said I wanted to keep his curls but just trim them up a bit. after trying to distract him with my iphone I looked up and they were all gone. good news: they will grow back. I guess I should have explained more clearly that his curls are his trademark. they're what he's known for. his signature look. his flair. a distinguishing characteristic. they go with everything, you know? maybe Santa will bring us back his curls for Christmas?
